VIRTUAL UKULELE REBELLION #97 HAS BEEN POSTPONED

Details

THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED AND WILL BE RESCHEDULED FOR JUNE.

Let's once again play songs with one-word titles! It may take bit of thinking, but there are a lot of great songs with one-word titles. For purposes of this theme, an article (a, an, and the) counts as a word, so a song called "The Sting" would be a song with a two-word title and would not fit this theme. We'll play music from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm Pacific Daylight Time, with social time after 9:00 pm.

We used this theme on May 21, 2022, and we had fun. To help with ideas for songs to lead, I've posted our song list from that evening in the comments.

To address some Zoom-bombing at our March 2025 Zoom meetup, I will be looking at and implementing additional security procedures for access to Zoom. The Zoom link will appear on this page when you RSVP. If Zoom asks for a passcode, the passcode is Rebellion. The passcode is case-sensitive.

If you'd like to lead a song, please let me know, either by posting here in the comments or by email, which song(s) you would like to lead. The cut-off time for requesting to lead a song is THE TUESDAY BEFORE THE MEETING (for this meeting, Tuesday May 13), even if you're going to be leading a song from one of the Daily Ukulele books. I'll post a songlist here in advance of our meeting.

IF YOU'D LIKE TO LEAD A SONG USING SHEET MUSIC OR A CHORD CHART THAT ISN'T IN THE YELLOW BOOK, THE BLUE BOOK, OR THE BBJ GROOVY SONGBOOK, EMAIL THE DOCUMENT TO ME IN DIGITAL FORMAT IN ADVANCE SO THAT I CAN UPLOAD IT TO DROPBOX AND POST IT ON THE SCREEN FOR OTHERS.

PLEASE NOTE: To accommodate all first song requests, we may not have time to get to all second (or third) song requests. When asking to lead more than one song, please indicate your first and second choices to ensure that, if we can't get to your second request, the song you'd most like to lead is included in that evening's song list. Thank you in advance for your willingness to lead songs and your understanding about how the song list for each meeting is prepared.
You can reach me by email at sfukerebellion@yahoo.com

To participate, you will need to download the Zoom app to whatever device you'll be using (there are Apple, Android, and desktop (Mac and PC) versions). To be seen and heard, you will need a device with a built in camera and microphone or a device to which you have attached a webcam. You can visit Zoom's support center here for more information about how to use Zoom.
