Winter Workshop: “Get Ready to Jam”

The California Coast Music Camp is sponsoring an afternoon workshop for ukulele and guitar players in Aptos, near Santa Cruz. Three teachers, Ukulenny, Steve Kritzer and Janet Lenore will lead six workshops - plenty to chose from in two class periods. The classes are designed to help people jam more confidently with others, even if there’s no chord sheets and even if others are playing guitar. Skills such as how to lead a song, when and how to give someone the opportunity to solo, and maybe even to try taking a solo yourself. There’s a class for learning to “read” a guitar player’s hands so you know what chord to play on the ukulele.
