Redwood Regional Hike - Oakland Hills

Great way to escape the heat! Oakland hills is expected to be in the 70s next weekend.
This is a beautiful forested area of the Oakland Hills. The park contains the largest remaining natural stand of coast redwoods found in the East Bay. If you've never visited this area, you are truly missing out. This is NOT a beginners hike, unless you like to challenge yourself as there is plenty of hills involved....and lots of shade. This hike will be approx 7 miles at 1200 elev gain. It is rated moderate.
We will begin our hike at the Redwood Staging Parking lot off of Redwood Rd. Our route will consist of the Bridle trail, French and conclude w/ the Stream trail. We will rest mid-way for a quick break to eat & refuel.
We will meet just below the restroom on the right side of lot, before heading to trailhead.
*The plan will be to stop in Livermore for an after hike meal if all agree in your carpool.
Our post time is the time we will be meeting at the carpool in Manteca.
If meeting at Redwood parking, please be there no later then 9:30 am.

Volunteer drivers are always appreciated and will be compensated at drivers discretion.
So please remember to bring cash for your driver.
**Things to bring: Plenty of water, snacks, sunscreen, hat, poles if needed, cash for driver & extra $ if going for after hike meal.
