S.F. Crosstown Trail - Lands End start

Details
Its going to be a scorcher! 🔥 Let's escape the heat and hang out in the 60°s.
Have you every explored the SF Crosstown Trail? It is a 17 mile urban trail that was created by volunteers & officially opened in 2019. It is broken down into 5 sections. We will be doing section #5 then south to #4. We will explore areas of SF that you have never seen....all the nooks & crannies. There is really so much beauty in the city. This will be an out & back hike/walk. We will be hiking 11 miles, so please join in as long as you're able to do the distance or you can be picked up at the midpoint on South side of Golden Gate Park. Elev gain @ 780'. This hike is easy to moderate. The distance rates it moderate.
Maps will be available or you can follow route on your phone. I relate it to following a scavenger hunt. Pretty fun & unique.

Our trailhead will begin at the Lands End Visitor Center. There is plenty of parking & a restroom. The trail will consist of pavement & dirt trails. We will be exploring the coastline w/ views of Golden Gate Bridge, the Presidio and walks thru Golden Gate Park to finish our southbound trail circling Blue Heron Lake. Here we will take a snack break, then turn around and head back. The snack bar may be open at the boathouse.
*We can plan to stop in Livermore on our way home for a bite before heading back to Manteca, for those carpooling, if all agree.
** Comfortable athletic shoes should be sufficient for this hike.
Volunteer drivers are always appreciated and will be compensated at drivers discretion.
So please remember to bring cash for your driver.
Bring: Plenty of water (2 ltrs), lunch/snacks, sunscreen, cash for driver, layers.
I hope you join in on this city adventure. 🌉 🚎
