Angel Island Hike - San Francisco Bay

It's going to be hot this Sunday in the valley!! 🔥 Mid 60s on the island.

FIRST: We will be taking the 11am ferry.

This is a very unique hike. Have you ever been to Angel Island? Well, here's your chance. We will be taking a short ferry ride out of Tiberon. We will be doing a 5 mile hike around the perimeter of Angel Island. The hike is easy to moderate w/ a beautiful view of the SF Bay, beaches and lots & lots of military history. We will be walking at a good pace. It will not be leisure. You will have the option of climbing to the top of Mt. Livermore (an extra 1 1/2 miles & a good climb) to see a panoramic 360° view of the entire bay. I highly recommend if you've never done before. We will take a half point break on the beach for snacks and to take in the beautiful view of the Golden Gate Bridge....if no fog.
After we finish hike, we will return near ferry dock and meet at the cafe for drink, food & LIVE MUSIC! The ferry back to Tiberon will arrive for our return @ 3:20 or 4:20pm. Our choice.
** An extra plus....the Fort McDowell buildings will be open this weekend and that happens only once a month in the Summer. Yea!

• We will meet to carpool at Starbuck's in Manteca. Wait time will be 10 mins. Please be on time. If meeting at ferry, please plan on a 10:45 am arrival at ferry dock.

**Volunteer drivers are always appreciated and everyone is expected to compensate at drivers discretion. Usually $10+.

AS OF THIS POSTING THERE WAS PLENTY OF TICKETS LEFT FOR THE 11am TIME SLOT. This hike is limited to 15 people. Please take the time to read ferry rules also. Restrooms are at ferry terminal.

*I recommend parking at CVS-Tiberon in ferry parking section. Cash envelope to park. ($5) last year. 5-10 min walk to ferry. So, make sure to give yourself time.

*Also note that if you need to cancel you can transfer ticket for another time/date.

Tennis/running shoes are fine for this hike.
