One of the number one things I hear from people that want to learn more about film production is how to get on a shoot of any size, especially without a lot of experience.

This weekend and next weekend a small group of us will be filming in the Bay Area, these are scenes from a larger project and we are looking for people that want to learn a bit about production, be part of the process and share some talent.

This is not open to a large group, instead we will offer select individuals an opportunity to join us based on your area of expertise or interest.

If you would like to learn more about working as a Boom Operator, Camera Support, Gaffer and lighting help or just general Production Assistant please RSVP and we will reach out to you individually with more info. Experience is welcomed but not required.

If you have free time to be part of these shoots this weekend or next (9, 10, 11 or 16, 17, 18) please RSVP and in the comment section tell us something about the area of production you are most interested in. Provide links to your work if you'd like and we will contact each of you.

These are volunteer spots, but there will be food provided, a $50 stipend for gas and hopefully a chance to learn and have fun. Participants will also receive a copy of my e-book, 10 Things Every Filmmaker Needs to Know Before Submitting to a Short Film Festival.
