NOTE - This group is a duplicate of Women in Tech - Bay Area, which is a private group. I made this public group for additional visibility, but the groups have identical events.

This group is for women in technology or considering a technology career in the Bay Area. The meetups will be a combination of socializing, networking, speakers, and workshops. Initially, the meetups will be over Zoom, so feel free to join even if you aren't in the Bay Area.

'Tech' includes but is not limited to the following roles:

  • Software Engineer
  • Product Manager
  • Quality Analyst
  • Engineer/QA Manager
  • Automation Engineer
  • UX Designer

We'll cover the following topics as workshops and discussions:

  • Long-term career planning
  • Building a network as a woman in tech
  • Handling stress in a high pressure job
  • Building confidence in a male dominated profession
  • Finding mentorship (it's SO important)
  • Building connection in remote roles

About the Organizer:

Hi,
My name is Kamala Manohari and am based out of Bay area. Professionally, am a HR leader transitioned to business centric role few years ago with Engineering R&D organization. Given the rich experience as Regional HR leader spanning across AsiaPacific, Middle east, UK (12+ countries) and having lived in all the three major GEOS (Japan, UK, N.America) close to 7+ years have developed deeper interest in Executive coaching, Behavioral training, Mentoring and Positive psychology

Interested to connect with Women professionals based in Bay area especially in the Tech space and exchange thoughts on various topics that could of interest to both professional and personal development

Planning to have online session which will have first 15-20 mins for networking followed by discussion on an interesting topic to make the most use of time
Just to clarify these are free sessions planned with an intent to share our collective wisdom on a wide range of topics
