The Great Beauty of Food, Friends, and Film

You’re invited! Join us for a San Luis Obispo County Friends of Italy Italian Potluck & Film Night, where we’ll celebrate Italian culture with food, friendship, and a world-class movie.

We’ll gather at Regina’s beautiful ranch in Arroyo Grande (address shared with RSVP’d guests).

First, we’ll enjoy a festive potluck spread and outdoor games, then move indoors to watch Paolo Sorrentino’s award-winning masterpiece The Great Beauty (La Grande Bellezza) with English subtitles.

Schedule

• 3:00–6:00 pm
  Arrival, mingling, food prep, and games (ping pong, cornhole, lawn bocce).
  Then — let’s eat! 🍷🍝
• 6:00 pm
  Film screening: The Great Beauty.
  This acclaimed drama follows journalist Jep Gambardella as he reflects on life, love, and Rome’s breathtaking decadence on his 65th birthday.

Potluck Guidelines
To make sure we have a balanced Italian feast, please bring a dish from one of these categories (serves 8–10). When you RSVP, let us know what you’re bringing:

1. Antipasti (Appetizers): bruschetta, caprese, olives, arancini…
2. Primi Piatti (First Courses): pasta, risotto, gnocchi…
3. Secondi Piatti (Main Courses): chicken cacciatore, eggplant parmigiana, baked fish…
4. Dolci (Desserts): tiramisu, cannoli, biscotti, panna cotta…

💡 Tip: Label your dish with its name and whether it’s vegan, vegetarian, or gluten-free so everyone can enjoy with ease. Homemade dishes are encouraged, but restaurant/store-bought options are welcome too!

• Homemade is best, but a high-quality store-bought dish is fine.
