The Freedom to Play: Horses, Heart & Italian Flavor

Join us for a soul-rich Sunday afternoon with Maddie, Cody, Ted, Cricket, Emmy, and Chloe Mae — six horses who love to play, connect, and remind us of who we are when we walk beside them.

We’ll gather at Susan’s in Arroyo Grande to learn simple, intuitive ways to communicate with horses and then step into a space of Libertà (freedom), Grazia (grace), and Complicità (the bond between beings).

No prior horse experience is required — only an open heart and a genuine desire to be in their presence. Whether you’ve loved horses your whole life or have simply felt their call, this afternoon is about play, connection, and presence.

Each participant will:

• Learn gentle cues to guide and engage with the horses,
• Experience their own creative interaction with a mini horse, pony, or one of the big horses,
• Savor the joy of watching others connect — often with laughter and wonder,
• Share in Italian-style conviviality with wine, beverages, and picnic foods (everyone brings something to share).

Important Notes:

• The horses are free to participate or step away at any time — this is mutual play, not performance.
• We will cap the gathering at 10 participants to honor intimacy and safety.
• Wear closed-toe shoes and bring a chair, a picnic contribution, and a layer for the late afternoon breeze.
• This is a ground-only interaction — no riding involved.
• Respect, presence, and gentle curiosity are at the heart of our time together.

### 🍷 What to Bring for the Picnic

• A favorite bottle of Italian wine or non-alcoholic beverage (or a local wine made from Italian varietals)
• An Italian appetizer or dessert to share — think crostini, biscotti, pizzelle, prosciutto-wrapped bites, or olives. (Nothing that needs to be hot, heated or kept warm)
