Join us in supporting Cal Poly Landscape Architecture student Tony Striegel as he presents his project - Piazza degli Amici d’Italia!

This is his design project aimed at revitalizing San Luis Obispo’s historic Little Italy.

Little Italy is a neighborhood in San Luis Obispo situated nearby to the neighborhood Railroad District.

The proposal envisions a Mediterranean-inspired public piazza and bocce courts as a new gathering place for the city’s growing community, honoring Italian heritage through culture, landscape, and social life.

December 3rd, 9:00 AM – 11:30 AM
Dexter Building, 2nd Floor — Cal Poly San Luis Obispo

This is a gallery-style presentation, so all guests are welcome to drop in anytime during the morning to walk around, view the student projects, and chat with the designers. I/Kay will arrive at 9:00 AM.

I'd love for many to join me at this time and then we could pick a place for coffee or mid-morning brunch afterwards!

I've been honored to connect with Tony while he's been designing this project! Tony and a friend came to Baileyana bocce ball one Friday afternoon while I also happened to be there. It was amazing. We've shared information with each other. I've seen designs along the way. He's so enthusiastic and passionate! I'm truly honored he and his professor Christine Edstrom O'Hara, PhD, ASLA have invited us!
