Details

Winter of the Pallino is the inaugural bocce league hosted by SLO County Friends of Italy, played weekly at Emerson Park.

This season features five teams competing in organized league play, with scheduled matches on the courts during this time. Each week, two league matches are played, and one team serves as Hosts, helping support the flow, tone, and hospitality of the day.

All league players for this season have already been identified.

### WHY THIS EVENT IS POSTED PUBLICLY (AND WHAT THE WAITLIST MEANS)

We’ve chosen to post each league day publicly to:

  • share visibility of organized bocce league play at Emerson Park
  • welcome community members who are curious to watch, learn, and cheer
  • invite interest from those who may want to participate in future bocce leagues

If you RSVP and are placed on the waitlist, this means:

  • you are not being added as a player for this season
  • you are letting us know you’re interested in:
  • playing in a future bocce league, and/or
  • attending to observe, learn, and support the players

Spectators and supporters are warmly welcome.

### ABOUT THE SEASON

Winter of the Pallino exists to create a season of gathering — where weekly play, shared stewardship, and moments of hospitality turn a simple game of bocce into something slower, warmer, and more connected.
