La Dolce Capra: Kidding Season at Stepladder Creamery 🐐🧀
There are moments when SLO Life and la dolce vita feel like the very same thing.
Fresh air.
Working land.
Animals cared for with devotion.
Cheese crafted by hand.
History under your feet.
We’re heading north to beautiful Cambria to visit Stepladder Creamery, a small family-owned artisan goat dairy and creamery situated along San Simeon Creek on a 150-year-old ranch.
And it just so happens… it’s kidding season.
Baby goats.
Lots of them.
We’ll be participating in their Classic Farm & Creamery Tour at 10:30 AM — learning about the art of cheesemaking, experiencing California ranch history, tasting small-batch cheeses, and yes… spending time with some of the happiest goats in California.
This is Italian-aligned in spirit — reverence for land, craft, food culture, and community.
Or as we might say: la dolce vita rurale.
