Where the Vines Have Memory 🍷 Piedra Creek in Edna Valley
Details
A hidden Edna Valley winery, Italian varietals, and a Sunday that unfolds beautifully…
There are places you almost visit…
and then, somehow, the timing becomes right.
Piedra Creek has been quietly sitting on our “list”—one of those Edna Valley wineries that carries both history and intention. And now, it’s drawing us in.
This Sunday afternoon, we’ll gather for a small, intimate tasting—just 8 of us—co-hosted with Tamara, one of our newer members and a Piedra Creek wine club insider. ✨
What’s waiting for us here is more than a tasting.
Founded in 1984, Piedra Creek Winery reflects decades of dedication to craft, continuity, and care. One of its most remarkable expressions is the Benito Dusi Zinfandel—sourced from vines over 100 years old. A living thread of California and Italian heritage intertwined… and for some of us, already a familiar favorite from J Dusi.
Alongside that legacy, Piedra Creek has explored Italian varietals that echo what draws us together—wines that speak not only of place, but of lineage, patience, and passion.
You'll encounter something delightful - Lagrein, a Northern Italian varietal from outside Alto Adige, now finding expression here in Edna Valley.
And then… there is Edna Valley itself.
Just minutes from San Luis Obispo and Arroyo Grande, yet it always feels like a quiet exhale—rolling vineyards, ocean-cooled air, and a Sunday that unfolds naturally.
✨ This is not just about the wine
✨ It’s about discovery
✨ It’s about connection—new and familiar
✨ It’s about la dolce vita… lived right here in SLO County
