EDIT: We're going to start and end at the same trailhead rather than start and end at different places.
(To the usual suspects: We usually park in two places and take a one-way hike, but we're not going to do that this time.)
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR FIRST-TIMERS
Welcome! We're glad you're joining us on this hike and hope to see you on many more in the future, but a couple of things to keep in mind.
- Please arrive about 5 minutes early for the hike. We do not wait more than a very few minutes for hikers to arrive.
- If you change your mind or can't make it, please change your RSVP.
- If you are an experienced hiker, this and all other trails in Central Texas are pretty easy. However, if you are a novice hiker, you need to know that many trails are extremely rocky. This trail has a 350 foot elevation gain/loss in the last/first 1/3 mile.
We hike at a moderate pace of about 2.5 miles an hour in the woods and 3 on streets and sidewalks.
If you have problems with balance or need to walk slowly, this hike probably is not for you. However, we encourage you to join us for our regular city and neighborhood walks.
