DOGS ARE NOT ALLOWED ON THIS TRAIL
We tried to find this trail last year and failed. We're going for a second shot!
Note: There is a parking lot at the trail head and I've marked it on the map. However, there was a ton of evidence of break-ins last time were there. So, we might want to start at a different lot.
There is a lot on Lakewood Driive at 96C7+8JP and another at 9687+RHC. Just put either of these codes into Google Maps to get directions. Both of these lots are much more secure.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR FIRST-TIMERS
Welcome! We're glad you're joining us on this hike and hope to see you on many more in the future, but a couple of things to keep in mind.
- Please arrive about 5 minutes early for the hike. We do not wait more than a very few minutes for hikers to arrive.
- If you change your mind or can't make it, please change your RSVP.
- If you are an experienced hiker, this and all other trails in Central Texas are easy. However, if you are a novice hiker, you need to know that many trails are extremely rocky. There are often elevation changes of 50 to 150 feet.
We hike at a moderate pace of about 2.5 miles an hour in the woods and 3 on streets and sidewalks.
If you have problems with balance or need to walk slowly, this hike probably is not for you. However, we encourage you to join us for our regular city and neighborhood walks.
