SOGIE 101 (free community training)

The San Mateo County Pride Center is hosting a FREE SOGIE training on Wednesday, July 29 at Heart and Soul (1633 Old Bayshore Hwy, Suite 160 in Burlingame) at 11am.
This training is open to all community members, to registration required.
What is SOGIE & what can you expect from this training?
In this SOGIE (Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity/Expression) training, we cover the differences and relationships between sexual orientation, sex, gender identity, and gender expression through engaging videos, group discussion, and community knowledge building. Thing of this as an LGBTQ+ 101 training.
We also touch on extended topics like inclusive practices, pronouns, and cultural humility. After every training, we provide extensive resources and are available for follow-up questions and needs. There are no prerequisites for taking this training & is appropriate for those starting their ally/advocacy journey or those who want to refresh their knowledge.
