If you’re interested in changing your name or gender marker on your legal documents, we invite you to attend our monthly Name and Gender Marker Change workshop! We know that this is an exciting and potentially overwhelming process, and it is our goal to help ease any concerns you may have. We will guide you through each step and help you prepare the necessary paperwork to legally change your name and gender markers on your identity documents.

Our workshops are completely free of charge & held virtually through Zoom. Workshops occur on the last Wednesday of each month, in both morning and evening sessions (AM Session: 11:00am–12:30pm & PM Session: 6:00pm–7:30pm). Workshop sessions typically last 60-75 minutes but are booked for 90 minutes in total.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
Through a small grant we were awarded, the Pride Center can help provide some financial assistance to those updating their name and/or gender markers.

For those who have filed with your local courthouse already and have received your approved name and/or gender change court order, you may need to request additional certified copies of your court order to update the rest of your identity documents. Each certified copy costs about $40, and with our grant, the Pride Center can help you by covering the cost of up to two (2) certified copies.
