What we’re about
Like D&D? RPGs of any kind? Video games? Card Games? Magic the Gathering? Munchkin? Fluxx? Board games? We are San Antonio Gamers, a group of laid back, inclusive gamers. We accept ALL gamers.
This meetup is provided free of charge as a community service to gamers like you in Alamo City. Anyone who is willing to abide by our code of conduct is welcome to volunteer as an Event Organizer.
Some games are private games and will be at other members' houses. Some will be held at businesses throughout the city. Unless stated otherwise, games are free to play.
We post any and all gamer events we know about throughout the city, and if you have an event you want to post, just let us know.
Want to see a game that isn't scheduled? Let us know. Also feel free to let us know about any private games you might need an extra player for. All players subject to GM/organizer approval.
Rules:
1. Respect each other. This means no racist, sexist, homophobic or just plain inappropriate behavior.
2. If you are going to have your game in a shop, respect the rules of that shop. ie no swearing, outside food, or whatever the rules are.
3. If your game will have mature themes, post this in the description. We have juvenile gamers as well, and I don't want any surprises.
4. Have Fun. If you aren't having fun, you aren't playing the game right.
Upcoming events (4+)
See all- San Japan 2025 - Gaming (and more)Henry B. González Convention Center, San Antonio, TX
San Japan 2025 (https://www.san-japan.org/) will have a sizable gaming section this year. There will be hundreds of board gaming and RPG sessions available! (This year's theme is "Sound".)
I will personally be running multiple Legend of the Five Rings (L5R) and Battlestations sessions.
(Sidenote: If anyone is interested in volunteering for SJ in the future, they offer free badges, meals, and even rooms or a parking stipend depending on how much time you give. I can connect you with the organizers or you can go to the "volunteer" section of the website.)
