San Marcos Upper Purgatory Creek Hike

We will be joining up with the San Marcos Take a Hike meetup group.

Join us for a 3-4 mile hike in San Marcos' Upper Purgatory Greenbelt.

Detailed instructions from IH 35:
Get off IH 35 at Exit 202, Wonder World/Wimberley/RR 12.
Go West on Wonder World/RR 12
At the third traffic light (Craddock Ave, about 2 miles), turn Left.
After one block, turn Right (going straight will take you into a subdivision). The road will be unpaved after a few hundred feet but is passable with almost any car.
Follow the road to the parking lot, where it dead ends.

These are dirt trails that are mostly level with some slight inclines

We will hike at a moderate pace of about 3 miles an hour.
