Hike McKinney Roughs Nature Park

We will do a moderately paced (3 miles/hour) hike for about 8 miles on the Colorado River at the LCRA’s McKinney Roughs Nature Park. The trails wind along ridges and descend to the river and back up.

We can enjoy our lunch (bring a lunch!) at the park facilities after the hike.

This hike will require a medium amount of physical exertion. There are some elevation changes and the terrain is rocky and slippery in some areas.

Be sure you are aware of your physical limitations. You will need to have good hiking boots/shoes, food for your lunch and at least 2 liters of water.

Entry fee is $5.00 per person.
