A Friday Evening Walk at Eisenhower Park on Little Debbie Treats Day

Eisenhower Park is one of San Antonio's favorite hiking parks.  It offers trails at various difficulty levels.  However, we will stick primarily to the Cedar Flats Trail (a paved trail) on the way up, and the Cedar Flats Trail on the way down.

Our route will be about 2.0 miles, and will take us just under an hour to complete.  Although some of the route is somewhat steep, it is an easily manageable route for most people and dogs, and we have had great walks here in the past.

In celebration of Little Debbie Treats Day, we will be bringing Little Debbie Nutty Bars.  If you would like to bring your favorite Little Debbie treat, or something else which would complement Little Debbie treats, or beverages of some kind, this would greatly enhance this event.  Because this event will be entirely in the dark, we will not be taking the Yucca Trail part of the route, so the route will be somewhat shorter than usual.  Bringing something is not required.

Distance: 2.0 miles

Time: 50 minutes

Temperature: Low 60s

Conditions: TBA

Walk Difficulty: Moderate

Walk Traffic: Low.  No bikes are allowed in this park

Goal: Tower at the end of the Cedar Flats Trail, which provides a great view of San Antonio.

Leash Rules:  All dogs should be on a leash.  All leashes should be 6 feet or shorter

Other Info: Because the days are starting to become shorter, this walk will be entirely during dark hours.  Therefore bringing a flashlight would be a good idea.

Brodie and I look forward to seeing you!

Great company, and great evening for a walk. Don't forget next Friday is Christmas Cookie Exchange Night at Eisenhower. We would love to see you out there!
