Day of Santcum Vitae
Details
There’s a particular kind of tired that sleep doesn’t fix.
You know the one, where your body feels wired and exhausted at the same time, where your mind won’t stop spinning even when you finally sit down, where you’ve lost touch with the quiet voice inside that used to guide you toward what you needed.
Most of us aren’t suffering from a lack of productivity. We’re suffering from a lack of sacred pause.
That’s why I’m holding space for something different, a half-day retreat designed not to add more to your life, but to gently clear away what’s been drowning out your ability to hear yourself, your body, and the quiet voice of the Spirit.

## The Sanctuary: Where Silence Still Lives
Tucked just 35 minutes from downtown Atlanta, the Holy Spirit Monastery in Conyers, GA offers something increasingly rare in our modern world: true silence. Not the manufactured silence of noise-canceling headphones or white noise machines, but the kind of stillness that allows your nervous system to remember what safety feels like.
This isn’t a spa retreat or a self-improvement seminar. This is a homecoming, a chance to return to the part of yourself that’s been waiting patiently beneath all the doing, all the noise, all the striving.
The monastery’s grounds hold a quality of peace that you can feel in your body within minutes of arrival. Ancient trees. Meandering walking pathways. Grounds that have been tended with prayer. It’s the kind of place where your shoulders drop without you telling them to.
## What This Retreat Actually Is (And Isn’t)
Let me be clear about something upfront: this retreat is not about fixing you.
You’re not broken. You’re not behind. You don’t need to “level up” or “optimize” or achieve some new version of yourself by the end of our time together.
What you might need is permission, permission to rest without guilt, to move gently, to simply be without performing or producing anything at all.
Over the course of 4-5 hours together, we’ll create a sacred container for:
Gentle yoga and mindful movement. Not the kind that leaves you sore or striving, but practices that help you remember your body as a sacred vessel, worthy of reverence and care.
Guided prayer and intentional silence. Woven throughout the day, creating space to listen to God, to your own wisdom, and to what your nervous system has been quietly asking for.
Nervous system education. Framed through compassion and stewardship, helping you understand why your body responds to stress the way it does (and how to support it with grace).
Breathwork for calm and clarity. Simple practices that signal safety to your body and bring you back to your center.
Sacred reflection time. Space for journaling, contemplation, and listening to what emerges when we finally get quiet enough to hear it.
Supportive community. A small group of fellow seekers, all committed to holding space for one another with kindness and respect
All practices are accessible and completely optional. You are always invited, never required, to participate in any way that feels aligned with your body and spirit in that moment.
## The Foundation: Where Faith Meets the Nervous System
If you’ve been around wellness spaces for a while, you’ve probably noticed: there’s often a split between “spiritual” practices and “scientific” ones, as if honoring God and understanding your biology exist in separate worlds.
But here’s what I’ve learned through my own journey: the body is not separate from the soul. It’s an extension of the same divine wisdom that shapes our spirits.
When we care for our nervous system, when we practice breathwork, gentle movement, and intentional rest, we’re not just “managing stress.” We’re practicing stewardship of the sacred vessel that’s been given to us.
This retreat honors three core beliefs:
1. The body is a living extension of higher wisdom , Your physical responses aren’t random or inconvenient. They’re intelligent signals from a system designed to protect and guide you.
2. Rest is not indulgent, it is sacred. In a culture that worships productivity, choosing rest is a radical act of faith. It says, “I trust that my worth isn’t tied to my output.”
3. Stress is not a failure, but a signal inviting care. When your body feels overwhelmed, it’s not because you’re weak or doing something wrong. It’s because you’re human, and your nervous system is asking for support.
Throughout the day, every practice, from the first grounding practice to the closing reflection, will gently guide us back to a sense of safety, trust, and grounding. Not through willpower or discipline, but through presence and compassion.
## Who This Retreat Is Really For
This retreat is for you if:

- You’re overstimulated by the constant noise of modern life and crave genuine quiet
- You’ve lost connection to your body, your intuition, or your sense of spiritual grounding
- You want practical, faith-anchored support for navigating stress and daily life
- You appreciate sacred space, intentional movement, and the gift of silence

You don’t need any prior yoga experience. You don’t need to be “good at” meditation or prayer. You don’t need to have it all figured out.
All you need is a willingness to show up and receive.
All practices of faith are welcome here. Whether you’re deeply rooted in a tradition or still exploring what spirituality means to you, there’s room for your journey in this space.

## What You’ll Actually Take Home
The real question isn’t “Will I feel good during the retreat?” (You probably will.) The real question is: “Will this change anything when I go back to my regular life?”
Here’s what you can expect to leave with:
A renewed sense of spiritual grounding through a calmer nervous system , When your body feels safer, your spirit has room to breathe.
Increased body awareness and energy , Not the jittery, caffeinated kind, but the steady, sustainable energy that comes from being aligned.
Practical stress support you can actually use—simple breathwork, movement practices, and grounding techniques that work in real life, not just on retreat.
A sense of connection , To yourself, to others on the journey, and to something larger that holds us all.
Momentum , Not the hustle kind, but the gentle, sustainable kind that carries you forward without burning you out
You’ll leave feeling not just relaxed, but reoriented. Like you’ve remembered which direction is true north.
## Beyond the Day: The Doorway to Deeper Work
For some people, this retreat is exactly what they need, a powerful reset that helps them return to their lives with new clarity and tools.
For others, this day becomes a doorway into something more sustained.
This retreat reflects the philosophy behind Sanctum Vitae, my wellness approach rooted in sustainable restoration, nervous system care, and practices that integrate into real, everyday life. It’s not about quick fixes or 30-day challenges. It’s about the art of tending to yourself over time, with grace and consistency.
There is no pressure or obligation to continue beyond the retreat. Simply know that ongoing support is available through one-on-one coaching, extended programs, and continued community, if you feel called to deepen this work.
The invitation is always there. The choice is always yours.
