Description: This will be a ~ 13-15-mile bicycle ride within UF campus with stops at points of interest. Meet at Westside Park
The UF campus is a unique campus with beautiful buildings and grounds.Campus will be relatively quiet as it will be in summertime. Ride back to Westside Park.
HELMETS are required to be worn during this ride. HYDRATE prior to the ride due to risk of heat/humidity side effects including heat exhaustion.
General Information: Bring drinks and snacks per preference. Riding gloves /sunglasses advised. Dress to comfort and safety.
Bathrooms: Yes, at the park and various places on campus.
Optional gathering: at Mia Apa Latin Café (114 SW 34th St, GNV) afterwards.
Dogs allowed: NO
Restricted to FTA Members only. 10 Experienced bicycle riders. Be able to ride 15 miles through various terrains on campus as well as ride or walk up and down NW 8th Avenue, just east of Westside Park. Bicycles should be in good rideable condition. I recommend that you have your bicycle checked out at a local bicycle shop if you have not ridden your bike within the past week or so. Tire pressure, chair lube, brakes, etc. if not ridden regularly will need attention for safety and riding performance.
