A Gem of a hike in the heart of Gainesville!
Begin at Alfred A. Ring Nature Park located along Hogtown Creek.
About 2.5 miles.
Directions: Refer to the Alfred A. Ring Nature Park address below. Meet me at the NW 23 Ave entrance parking lot. NOT the NW 16th entrance.
General Information: Trails are in the woods, shady and unpaved. Ideal natural elements along the creeks. Trails have exposed roots and wood bridges along creek. Walking poles may benefit.Dress to comfort. Wear hat. Bring water. Bug spray advised.
Option: Afterwards -Go to Hogan’s Restaurant, 2327 NW 13ST, Gainesville, FL 32609 for classic deli /drafts--(cash only).
