Description: Join the Sandhill Chapter of the Florida Trail Association for a 2.9 mile hike. This is a beautiful hike that takes visitors from the hardwood forest, through a palm hammock, and out onto Paynes Prairie where you may encounter wild horses, alligators, and even bison. There is a lookout tower at the end of the trail.
Fees: $2.00 per vehicle
General Information: Bring a hat, water, sunscreen, proper footwear, and snack if you like. Bug spray is always a good idea. Also have an emergency medical card (info) in your pack.
