IMPORTANT: We are meeting at Historical Santos Park, not at the campground.

Description: Join the Sandhill Chapter of the Florida Trail Association for a 6-mile hike, generally considered an easy route, it takes an average of 3 hours to complete. We’re heading west to watch extreme mountain bikers at The Vortex - Florida's most iconic trail: wooden features, rollers, drops, dirt jumps, rock gardens. On our way back, we will stop at The Island to view some of the history left of the ship/canal build in the 1930’s. This trail is in the Santos Section of the Marjorie Harris Carr Cross Florida Greenway.

General Information: Bring a hat, water, sunscreen, proper footwear, and snack if you like. Bug spray is always a good idea. Also have an emergency medical card (info) in your pack.
