City of Alachua Annual Fourth of July Celebration: Happy Birthday 250th USA!
Location: Park along the street, next to the Alachua Branch Library (14913 NW 140th St, Alachua, FL32615).
DO NOT park in the library parking lot during after-hours.
Time: **~**7:30 PM -Look for Maria standing next to her parked car to sign in and get oriented to activity and location. We will be walking with our picnic and lawn chairs to the Legacy Park Multipurpose Center lawn area where the Fireworks will be observed. Fireworks will commence ~ 9:30 PM.

Description: Let’s gather to celebrate July 4th! We will walk up to Legacy Park, ~1.5 miles, at (15400 Peggy Rd, Alachua, FL 32615) with our chair and picnic, find a spot, have our picnic listening to patriotic music and “share our heritage and national background” conversation. At ~9:30 PM, we’ll look to the skies for spectacular ”Largest Small-town Fireworks Display in AMERICA”. Walk back to our vehicles with hopefully, an increased sense of connection and patriotic afterglow!
Headlight or flashlight advised. Dress to your comfort. Bug spray per personal preference.
Bathrooms: Yes, port a pot on location
Dogs allowed: NO. Fireworks are not kind to their ears…
