Chapman’s Pond Nature Trail Thursday Morning Hike 

Location: 7340 SW 41st Place- Veterans Memorial Park
Freedom Community Center parking lot

Time: Meet at 8:15 am -walk at 8:30 am
Description: This will be a ~2.5-3.0 mile hike on established trails. This trail is on the Florida Game and Fresh Water Fish Commission Great Birding Trails list. There may also be ponds, a fountain and a waterfall, butterfly and native plant gardens and a stone circle.
Directions: From Tower Road in Gainesville (SW 75 St.) turn east on SW 41st Place. Park in the Veterans Memorial Park parking lot on your left.
General Info: Bring water, hat, bug spray, binoculars. Some trails are slightly overgrown in short sections,
Minor bushwacking involved.
I definitely recommend long pants.
Should take less than 2.0 hours to complete.
Bathrooms: Restrooms at Veterans Memorial Park.
