FTA Trail Maintenance

Black Bear and Sandhill chapter members and all welcome! Trail maintenance work party - Sunday 23, 2026 @0800. Stage at Western corridor FT crossing on 314A
(turn south on 314A from 314, travel approx 1 mile to where FT crosses 314A - will see event signs on road and parking area along powerlines on the southside of 314A)

We will be working south towards Hwy 52 or further if time allows, mowing, brush cutting, some chain sawing, lopping and updating blazes. Lots of tall ferns, brush and overgrowth. Will work as far as possible, depending on group size. Another party will be scheduled later in the season for puncheons and bridge repairs. Please join us and enjoy good company and satisfaction of helping to maintain the Florida Trail!!

Please wear long pants, work boots/closed toe. Bring long sleeve work shirt, work gloves and bug spray! PPE-helmets/ear and eye protection and gloves provided for work event if don't have your own.
