October San Diego Corgi Meetup: Howl-O-Ween Costume Party w/Coffee&Corgis!

Calling all Corgisaurs, Corgidiles & Thorgis,

It's time again for our much Howl-O-Ween party and Costume Contest. Costume your corgi & they will be entered to win. Winner will be determined by ballot, and no entry fee needed. There will be one Grand Prize awarded and an Opportunity Drawing anyone can win. The Opportunity drawing will consist of one main prize and several consolation prizes.

This year we are joining forces with the group Coffee & Corgis to make it even bigger and better! We will have vendors TBA later.

HOW IT WORKS: Each costumed corgi and corgi impersonator (non-corgis dressed to look like corgis) will be assigned a number at contest time (11:00am), and we will pass out ballots. Then we will line up and parade around the field. Vote for your favorite!

We'll also have an opportunity drawing for a prize basket similar to the contest winner's. Tickets are a $1 donation each. $5 will get you the number of tickets that measure the body length of your corgi (neck to nubbin). $10 will get you the length of your corgi with a tail, the body length of your non-corgi or the length of your arm (you pick!).

You do NOT have to dress up your corgi to attend. Some corgis simply will not tolerate going incorgnito and that's ok. Just show up to laugh, vote, get an opportunity drawing ticket, and you might just win anyway.

DIRECTIONS: From the 15 freeway, exit at Poway Rd and go east. Go 3.7 miles and turn Right on Civic Center Drive. The dog park is a bit hard to find. It is at the FAR southwest corner of the park with parking on both sides. We’ll be in pen #1. There is no parking right next to the dog park. See my map in the PHOTO section for parking and the dog park location.

Come with your lions, lobsters, and ladybugs! Share a howl as you vote for your favorites. Go home with tuckered corgis, hilarious memories, a few photos and maybe even a prize.

Treat Table: Everyone is welcome to bring treats, treat bags and/or stickers to share with the meetup. The table will be a DIY table. Everyone can bring whatever they want. Everyone will grab one of each of whatever is brought to the table. We are estimating 40ish corgis in attendance. Just keep in mind, we do have some corgis who are allergic to chicken. We will have a section of the table for those who do include chicken treats. This isn't mandatory, but it'll be fun to share our pups favorite treats with others. This was a huge hit last year and wanted to bring it back.


We will provide bags for everyone to bring home their goodies.
