July San Diego Corgi Meetup - Corgi Cavalcade in Balboa Park - Aloha style

Details
Break out those Hawaiian shirts, folks! Summer is here, and we'll be celebrating with our annual stroll thru Balboa Park. This would be a leisurely stroll if it were just you and your pup(s); but with 70+ corgis (a literal ton) it becomes a comical corgi cavalcade and a group favorite!
We'll meet at Nate's Point to let our belly dusters frap and yap for an hour. There's a slight chance this will sufficiently tire out a few to behave on leash... I mean the humans, of course, as the corgis will be just warming up!
Then at 11AM, we'll leash-up for a bunny butt waddling parade to the Bea Evenson Fountain. Dress your pups up in Summer attire (Hawaian leis, beach wear) or leave them in all their natural glory! We will have a limited supply of flower leis if you don't have one to bring - find Geri, Mike or Liz at the dog park to get one for your pup! It's 0.7 miles to the fountain. Once there, the pups can cool off along the fountain's edge. BE WARNED: unfortunately, after 44 years of people and dogs dipping their toes in the fountain, the rules have changed: "This is Not a Recreational Fountain. PLEASE KEEP OUT." So gone are the days when several dozen corgis accidentally fall in and start synchronized swimming. Times change, but as far as I know, the water flowing on each side of the stairwell is fair game for cooling off corgi mitts.
Join us for the entire trip, or if you prefer, meet us at the dog park or fountain. It's sure to be one of those goofy, butt wiggling, crowd stopping dog days of summer.
