We can't think of a better place to say so long to summer than Del Mar Dog Beach, especially at low tide. At the lowest tides, the beach stretches 100 yards to the surf, revealing rocks and tide pools. On this day, low tide (1.1ft) occurs close to sunset and should allow plenty of room for 60+ corgis to frolic in the surf. If you want to stay, we'll be saying farewell to summer by catching the sunset @ 6:45pm.

From the mouth of the San Dieguito River to the northern stretch of costal bluff, this place is a corgi paradise.

BRING: chairs, towels, water for both you and your dog. Luau attire optional. There is a dog/person drinking fountain at the north entrance. Poop bags can also be found at the entrances.

PARKING: this is tricky

You'll find FREE PARKING on 101 south of the bridge and north on Via de la Valle. METERED PARKING (pay-and-display-your-ticket box) is $6/hr. Remember that Del Mar likes its parking ticket revenue; so watch your time diligently.

Whether your corgi prefers frolicking in the surf, meandering in the river outlet, or rolling in the sand, come watch our corgis play as we say so long to summer!

Rain will cancel this event.
