La Mesa Stride Urban Hike
Details
This is a five-mile loop along the streets of northern La Mesa, starting and ending at Jackson Park. It is described on the La Mesa website as "The Stride" Intermediate Route.
The hike has only one significant hill, about one block long. There is an optional side trip down a stairway and back for those who need some kind of workout.
This hike is marked by GREEN disks on the sidewalks and curbs along the way.

We'll meet at 9:00 AM at Jackson Park, 5890 Jackson Dr., La Mesa CA 91942 (Thomas 1250 H7, N 32 47.132 W 117 1.208), and we'll step off at 9:15 AM.

SUGGESTED ROUTE FROM SAN DIEGO: Go east on I-8 and exit at exit 13B (Jackson Drive, Grossmont Blvd). Go north on Jackson Dr. 1.15 miles and turn left into Jackson Park, which will be on the left.
Wear good walking shoes. Hiking shoes are not necessary because the hike is entirely on pavement.
Leashed dogs are allowed.
