About 5 miles and 200ft ascent along the Otay River Valley.
Description:
This is a one-way hike starting at the salt ponds in Imperial Beach, following the Bayshore bike path a short distance and ending at Greg Cox bike park close to the 805 freeway. There will be at least 1 car at the end of the hike to start ferrying back to the start and a great cup of coffee at Trident.

Directions from San Diego:
Take I-5 south and exit on Palm Ave. Turn right and continue to 13th St.. Turn right by Autozone and proceed to the end of the street where you back in to the slanted parking spaces. Trident Coffee meeting point is ahead.

Amenities:
Restrooms along the way at the ranger station on Beyer Blvd. Dogs on leash permitted. Take water, sunscreen and a snack. We step off at 9:15am.
