North Shepherd Canyon Loop

3.6 miles, 250 ft ascent. No hazards.

Description
We are now able to complete this hike along trails as construction on the water tank has finished. The east end of the trail passes through part of Mission Trails Regional Park. We'll be passing by a small pond called Dishwasher Pond (pictured above).

Dress in layers, take water. Leashed dogs are allowed. No restrooms.

From San Diego: take 163 or I-15 north. Exit onto 52East. Take the Santo exit. Take the first left onto Portobelo Dr. Continue to the mini park on the right, and no more houses on that sude.
