RAIN IS PREDICTED for most of next week, so I'm not going to lead my usual hike on Tuesday, February 17. Instead, let's meet at the Mission Trails Visitor Center. If it's raining, we can just tour the indoor exhibits. If it isn't raining, and the trails aren't too wet, we can also do one of several short hikes from the center.

I won't be disappointed if nobody shows up. I live near the Mission Trails Visitor Center, so travelling there is not much of a burden. I will be there, rain or shine, even if nobody is registered for the "event".

Wear good hiking shoes, in case you want to do a short hike. Hiking poles are not required. It won't be necessary to carry water. Only minimal sun protection will be required. No dogs, please. They are not allowed in the visitor center, and it would be awkward to leave them in the parking lot.

Meet at the entrance to the Mission Trails Visitor Center (N 32 49.191 W 117 3.387), or inside the center if it is raining, between 9:30 AM and 9:45 AM. The full name of the center is "Mission Trail Regional Park Visitor and Interpretive Center", but you can use the shorter name with Google Maps.
