Agua Dulce Loop - Sunrise Hwy

6.3miles, 550ft ascent. No hazards. Start elevation 5400ft.

Hike through shady pine forest with some black oak and incense cedar. Starting on Sunset Trail, then Kemp Connector, Kemp Spur to Agua Dulce trail, Agua Dulce Road, Wooded Hill Road, Chico Ravine Trail, and back via the Kemp Connector.

From San Diego:
Take I-8 East, exit on Sunrise Hwy (S-1) turn left and go 5.5 miles North to the 19.1 mile marker. Ample parking on both sides of road.

Be sure to display a $5 National Forest Adventure Pass (or America the Beautiful pass). Purchase online at https://www.recreation.gov/. (Enter Cleveland National Forest in the search bar at the top, then choose Day Use)

Meet at 9:30am at the trailhead.
I can carpool 3 from Los Coches park and ride (13702 Camino Canada
El Cajon, CA 92020). Leaving at 8:45am. Text me if interested.
Wear good hiking shoes and a hat. Take water, a snack and sunscreen.
Dogs on leash OK. Restroom at the Meadows Information kiosk, on the right just before arriving at the trailhead.
