SWEET Hike in Torrey Pines Extention to the Del Mar Edge

Hey Hikers! I am starting these Monday Hikes again (2x/month) aka Start of the WEEk Trail Hikes or SWEET Hikes! For this hike, we will take Torrey Pines Extension and hike to the Del Mar Edge. This is a lightly used trailhead with lots to see! Dogs are not allowed on this preserve unfortunately.

TIMING:
We will meet and greet at 8:00am
We start promptly at 8:10am (plan your trip, arrive on time)
HIKE DETAILS:
Hiking Distance: ~5.2 miles
Difficulty: Easy
Elevation: ~280’ Gain
Parking: Street parking or in the Cul-de-sac lot
WHAT TO BRING:
Water ( I take 2 liters; I sweat a lot & I prepare for the worst)
Sturdy Hiking Shoes (ensure the soles have tread)
Option Hiking Poles
Sunblock
Snack (an apple, an orange, electrolyte replenisher)
Bug spray
