Description:
This hike follows Peñasquitos Creek from Black Mtn. Road under I-15, around Cypress Hill and back the same way. It will encounter the Bill Witzell trail, the Cara Knott Memorial and the large Canyonside equestrian center. The complete trail is 155 miles, 20,000ft ascent and goes from Salton Sea to Torrey Pines!!!
Wear good hiking shoes, take water, a hat, sunscreen and a snack.
Leashed dogs allowed. Restroom.
Directions:
Take I-15N and exit on Mercy Rd. Turn left and follow Mercy Rd to Black Mtn Rd. Turn right. Left at the traffic signal onto Canyonside Park Driveway, and then immediately right. Park in first available space. Last here 11/2023.
