About us

Formerly The Humanist Association of San Diego
We have been building community without supernaturalism since 1970 and now we are revamping, revitalizing, and relaunching.

We're San Diego's freethinking community—atheists, agnostics, humanists, skeptics, and anyone who finds the God question irrelevant to living an ethical, fulfilling life.

What We Offer: Monthly speaker series • Outdoor adventures • Philosophy discussions • Volunteer service • Social events • Regional conferences

Who Should Join: You if you want to connect with like-minded neighbors, engage in meaningful conversation, make a difference in our community, and celebrate life's milestones—all grounded in reason and compassion rather than supernatural belief.

We've been San Diego's home for humanism since 1970. Whether you're a lifelong humanist or just curious about secular community, you're welcome here.

First time? Come to our First Friday Social—low key, newcomer-friendly, and always welcoming.
