What we’re about
This meetup was organized as the East County Physics meetup in 2015 by John Fistere, a retired engineer. Due to the wide-ranging interests of the members, the scope of the group has widened to include any topic in natural science or technology as well as occasional topics from social science. The purpose of the Meetup is for attendees to learn about exciting topics in these areas, as well to provide an opportunity for members to make presentations on their own research or interests. The discussions are scientifically-based and usually at the level of Scientific American.
