What we’re about
Let’s gather regularly for a session of spades.
I’ve got some folding tables and chairs and a secure space in Balboa Park where we can amalgamate, play cards, build friendships and forget about the heavy discourse that’s erupting in our country.
The events and the its participants are a safe space. The idea is to have fun, whether you’re a novice, intermediate or a wizard, all people of all skill levels of all ages (over 18), all backgrounds or color & ethnicities are welcome.
The rules are simple: respect the spaces we gather in and leave it better than how you found it, be kind, have the ability to make or to take a joke and to laugh, don’t take anything personally (it’s just a game) and more importantly bring a snack or refreshment to share when we get together.

Note: It might be a good idea to leave your politics and religion at home and not discuss those things. (But it is a card table and lots of good and tough conversations happen there)
