We get together every week to play dodgeball - and then head out to our sponsor bar for drink deals and bar games. And it's FREE for new people! And you should probably come do that too, wouldn't you say?! Coed, social sports: shenanigans, tomfoolery, ballyhoo, and general smiley good time funsies all around!
Looking forward to getting to know some fresh faces, meeting good people, and playing with some new folk play in our upcoming season!
Why would you NOT want to run around like a kid, make friends, and have a beer? Inconceivable!

ABOUT US:
Old school playground dodgeball is back! Just like Mr. Jameson's 3rd grade gym class - but this time, instead of going back to math class, eating mom's PB&J, and worrying about cooties - you get to go back to a bar, and drink beer, and maybe flirt with people. Better.
We do play each other hard. Because it's fun. And fun's our favorite. Scraped knees are cool.
We do not play each other angry. Because it's dodgeball. You're not a baller. You're playing a children's game. No one's out there to hurt anyone or being a hothead or we just don't let them play.
So come for the dodging. Stay for the drinking.
Everyone is welcome! Bring your brother! Bring your girlfriend! Bring that coworker you think is cute and want an excuse to hang out with! Bring your mom and her PB&J sandwiches!

Oh hello there, I didn't see you come in. Welcome to a fun thing. And hey! You like fun things! Every Monday we host dodgeball funsies open to the public! (And then postgame bar hangouts after if that's your thing!)

Our motto's "Hey, don't be a jerk." Low stress atmosphere - everyone's in the same boat being new after all. And ya meet some good people doing it. It's a social activity as much as anything. And now we can go to a bar after instead of back to math class like when we all played dodgeball as a kid in school. Which is a nice perk. We'll introduce you around, make you feel welcome out there whatever your athletic/skill level or not, explain everything, and run around for a couple hours!

Dec 25' Beer Ball
Phebes, 349 Bowery, New York, NY, USRegardless how many people it says are RSVPed on Meetup there should be a ton of people there. Why? Because our dodgeball players come here after league games. During the season, we play at the gym, then go to the bar, and after go to Karaoke. If that sounds like fun you can join or Monday or Wednesday season starting in January.
Tonight's Bar activity will be Beer Ball
It's a 2 v 2 game when players throw balls, hits cans, run around and of course drink. It takes a bit of space in the bar so we're saving it for a special night.
Join us Monday, December 22nd! 9pm (right after Week 4 of our December Dodgeball Season) at Phebes and "test your might" (in the Mortal Kombat voice, no you won't have to break stuff).
So, grab you and a friend and run the gauntlet! Current Sandlotters, former Sandlotters, and non-Sandlotters (we can call them future Sandlotters) are all welcome, so gather your mate and let's celebrate our love for the game, friendship, and to finish the year strong

Sandlot Day at Phebe's
Phebes, 349 Bowery, New York, NY, USRegardless how many people it says are RSVPed on Meetup there should be a ton of people there. Why? Because this is the bar our members go to after their league games. If you're interested Winter Dodgeball on Mondays starts in January.
We'll break the day into 3 parts
11am - 4pm(ish) Saturday Morning Cartoons
Start your day with the homies playing those games that it's better playing sober or at least semi sober.
There will be a few buckets for our early birds.
Table Top games, cards, and video games.
4pm(ish) - 9pm(ish) League After Party
Then we pull out the tables and act like it's after your league games with some bar games. We can do flash tournaments or some of your favorite bar games extended.
9pm(ish) - Close
Phebe's transforms into a dance space. Feels like a good time to party and get down.

Friday Advanced Social Dodgeball

The last Friday of each month is our "Go get em" day. It definitely bends a little more towards folks who wanna be the very best that no one ever was. While our community’s motto of “Don’t be a jerk.” still applies, this is the night where players are going for it.
We have more casual and laid backed dodgeball days and other activities (check our calendar) if you’re looking to meet new people, get your feet wet, or get over your middle school dodgeball ptsd. Friday isn’t that night…
