2023 HOWL OLYMPIC GAME RULES AND GUIDELINES-
HIGH JUMP– Dog has one chance to clear bar at each height. Bar is raised after all dogs competing jump. If bar falls for any reason, dog is eliminated, even if human error is the cause.
BOBBING FOR TREATS- Dogs must place full face in large bowl of water to retrieve hot dog treat. This is a timed event. Fastest time wins. If your dog does not like hot dogs you must provide a substitute treat that will sink to the bottom. Dogs are eliminated if they dump the bowl of water or use paws to remove treat.
BEST COOKIE CATCHER- 2 people per dog needed to participate. One holds dog behind the line, other tosses the cookie/treat provided by you. If dog catches treat he advances to next round. If no catch, dog is eliminated.
MUSICAL SIT- One dog, one human. Participants form large circle. Music played as everyone walks in circle. Music stops, all dogs are given ONE command to “SIT.” Last dog to sit is eliminated until only one remains. Treats are allowed, no pushing dog into sit, only ONE sit command.
BEST LIMBO DOG– Dog has one chance to go under the bar at each height. Bar is lowered after each competing dog attempts. Bar can wiggle but not fall.
BEST DOG HOWL O WEEN COSTUME- Best doggie costume.
Decision up to judges discretion and audience influence.
BEST SLED DOG CHAMPION- Dog with most combined points wins. The more contests you enter the better chance to have highest points
