We’re delighted to announce that His Eminence Gala Tulku Rinpoche, Sister Pearl (Viên Thanh Châu) and Diane Russell-Chrestman, LCSW, a licensed clinical social worker and seasoned mindfulness teacher, will be joining the camp.

Continuing this year’s inspiring theme— ‟Level Up: The Quest for Connections ” — this day-long retreat invites us to slow down, reflect, meditate, and forge deeper bonds with ourselves, one another, and the world around us through timeless Buddhist teachings. Whether you’re new to meditation or have been practicing for years, this will be a day to reconnect with peace, community, and purpose. Families and practitioners of all ages are welcome!

Tentative Schedule:

9:00–10:00 AM — Morning community session & paying respects in the Buddha Hall
10:00–11:30 AM — Morning Dharma sessions (kids, teens, adults*)
11:30 AM–12:00 PM — Walking meditation & short break
12:00–1:00 PM — Vegetarian lunch (provided by the temple)
1:00–2:00 PM — Free time to meditate, play, connect, or do arts and crafts
2:00–3:15 PM — Afternoon Dharma sessions (kids, teens, adults*)
3:15-3:30 PM — Break
3:30–4:00 PM — Closing ceremony & dedication of merit

*Kids: 4–12, Teens: 13–18, Young Adults/Adults: 19+

About the Organizers
Georgia Buddhist Camp and Grant Park Meditation are volunteer-led communities devoted to cultivating peace, kindness, and wisdom through accessible, family-friendly Buddhist activities.

Our programs are always free, and donations are gratefully accepted to help sustain the temple and future events.
