From the Staging Area in Bollinger Canyon we will make our way up steeply to spectacular Rocky Ridge and one of the leader's favorite lunch spots in the Bay Area. Our return route will take us to the southern reaches of Rocky Ridge before wending our way downhill to the trailhead. This loop features stunning views, verdant rolling grasslands and abundant wildflowers. Allow 6.5 hours for this 5.25 mi. hike with about 1100 ft. of total elevation gain. Steady relaxed pace with a 30 min. lunch and other rest breaks. Be prepared for poison oak and warm temperatures.
