Hike Mission & Monument Peaks From the Wild East Side

Details
Climb Mission Peak from Sunol Regional Wilderness, the wild east side, and continue on to Monument Peak. Our route is mostly over fire roads, making for easy footing, though we will also be on some narrow trails. Great views of the South Bay and Alameda Creek watershed on this 15-mile, 2,500' elevation gain hike; a full day on the trail! (People who want a shorter hike can turn around at Mission Peak for an approximately 11-mile hike with 2,000' of elevation gain.)
Moderate pace; not for speed demons or gazelles, but not a hike for those just getting into shape. Hikers with relaxed attitudes most welcome.
