About us
When you land in Canada, everything changes.
New systems. New pressure. New responsibilities.
And for many of us, all of it happens far away from family, support, and home.
Sangam was born after seeing the tired faces on trains after double shifts.
After hearing, “I want to go back home… but I can’t go empty-handed.”
After feeling the loneliness, confusion, and silent stress ourselves.
Sangam means a meeting point.
A place where you don’t have to explain your struggle.
A place to breathe, connect, and slowly find your footing again.
This community is for Indian international students in Canada who are:
• Feeling overwhelmed, lost, or disconnected
• Struggling with jobs, housing, or immigration confusion
• Carrying pressure silently while trying to “make it work”
• Looking for real connection, not false promises
### What we do
• Host monthly in-person and online gatherings
• Hold honest conversations about life in Canada, both the good and the hard
• Share practical guidance around jobs, immigration basics, and housing safety
• Create space for emotional grounding through reflection, breathwork, and community
• Build belonging, dignity, and support in a foreign land
### What this is not
• Not a lecture
• Not a sales pitch
• Not guaranteed jobs or immigration outcomes
This is a safe space.
A circle.
A home away from home.
You don’t have to figure everything out alone.

### Optional (Only if you feel comfortable)
We’ve created a short anonymous form to better understand what Indian students are experiencing, so future Sangam gatherings can be shaped around real needs.
There is absolutely no pressure to fill this out.
You are always welcome to just show up, listen, or share in your own way.
