About us

When you land in Canada, a lot changes fast.
New systems. New pressure. New responsibilities.
And for many of us, it’s all happening far from family, support, and home.

Sangam started because we kept seeing it.
Tired faces on trains after long shifts.
Hearing things like, “I want to go back… but I can’t go empty-handed.”
And honestly, feeling some of that loneliness and stress ourselves.

Sangam means a meeting point.
A place where you don’t have to explain everything.
A place to breathe, connect, and slowly find your footing again.

This community is for Indian international students in Canada who might be:

• Feeling overwhelmed, lost, or disconnected
• Struggling with jobs, housing, or immigration confusion
• Carrying pressure silently while trying to “make it work”
• Wanting real connection, not false promises

### What we do

• Host monthly online and in-person gatherings
• Have honest conversations about life in Canada, both the good and the hard
• Share practical tips around jobs, immigration basics, and housing safety
• Create space to feel grounded through reflection, breathwork, and community
• Build belonging and support in a foreign land

### What this is not

• Not a lecture
• Not a sales pitch
• Not guaranteed jobs or immigration outcomes

This is a safe space.
A circle.
A home away from home.

You don’t have to do this alone.

### Optional

We made a short anonymous form to understand what Indian students are actually going through, so Sangam can be shaped around real needs.

No pressure to fill it out.
You are always welcome to just show up, listen, or share in your own way.
