Sangha: From Stillness to Life: Carrying the Meditative State Into the World
Details
Carry the stillness of meditation beyond the cushion, bringing presence, awareness, and inner peace into everyday life and relationships.
Meditation invites us into stillness, presence, awareness, and a deeper connection with ourselves. But what happens when the meditation ends?
This session explores the practice of carrying the meditative state into everyday life—bringing the same spaciousness we experience in meditation into our conversations, relationships, work, challenges, decisions, and ordinary moments.
Rather than seeing meditation as a separate activity, we will explore how presence can become a way of living. How do we remain grounded when someone pushes our buttons? How do we pause before reacting? How do we stay connected to our breath and inner awareness while moving through a busy day? And how might our relationships change when we meet others from the same place of stillness we touch in meditation?
This is an invitation to move from “I meditate” to “I live meditatively.”
Darius will lead the conversation to explore the subtle transition from practicing presence on the cushion to embodying presence in the world—and discover that the moments that challenge our peace may actually be some of our deepest opportunities to practice.
